My name is Teera Kanokkanjanarat. I work at Plexia Electronic Medical System Inc as a software developer in conjunction with completing my degree in Computing Science and Business Administration at Simon Fraser University.
Although the title says "software developer", I do basically almost anything from design, develop, test software product to maintain application servers and database. I occasionally handle customer support call.
Apart from study and software, I run two small businesses in Bangkok Thailand: a coffee shop and a day spa which I dare say is one of the finest spa you can find in the city =].
Hmm..what else?
I was born in Thailand but I'm actually a Chinese by blood. I speak Thai and English. I'm a buddhist.
I collect books. I believe that accomplishment and happiness in life should go hand-in-hand.
I love my family and value friendship. I love technology and enjoy developing software.
Although I spend quite a lot of my time writing code, I think of my work as using technology and creativity to solve problems; not coding.
I find myself working better as a team. I draw energy and motivation from working with good people.
I did a short podcast series.
In 2008, I received the honor to be the first guest on Sun's SDN CampusCast program.
I contribute to open source community (mainly Netbeans IDE).
I like playing with gadgets but have little interest in cell phones.
Nice to meet you and keep in touch,
Teera K.
